Priding itself on longstanding partnerships with several globally recognized brands, the company has eight regional depots across the UK: Purfleet, Kent, Portsmouth, Reading, Liverpool, Rugby, Spalding, and Norwich. Whether customers have a fleet of forklift and reach trucks or just a single lift truck, Acclaim provides specialist expertise and advice, as well as servicing, maintenance, and repairs.
Established in 1982 by David Woods and initially operating from his home, Acclaim focused on the forklift truck market, becoming the first and original UK dealer of STILL products in its founding year. In the early 2000s, Acclaim made several acquisitions to strengthen its depot network and provide additional products like scissor platforms, cherry booms, electric stair climbers, and cleaning equipment. Today, having reached a turnover of £ 25 million, the company continues to evolve, and we speak with CEO Sam Woods, son of the company’ s founder, to learn more about how Acclaim is building on decades of success.
