Its head office is in Hatton Garden with teams such as commercial, brand and marketing and technology sharing an open-plan space, while Blackburn is home to Science in Sport’ s 160,000-square-foot manufacturing and logistics hub with the capacity to manufacture products delivering up to £ 200 million of annual revenue. Blackburn is also home to the supply chain, customer fulfillment, NPD, finance and people teams.
The company produced approximately 36 million gels in its purpose-built manufacturing facility in 2023 and with over two million orders globally, its products are sold in 75 countries.
Founded in 1992, the SiS brand boasts a core range, comprising gels, powders and bars focused on energy, hydration, and recovery. SiS is a performance nutrition partner to over 320 professional teams, organizations, and national teams worldwide. The brand supplies more than 150 professional football clubs in the UK, Europe, and the USA. Brand ambassadors include the former track cyclist Sir Chris Hoy, an 11-time world champion and six-time Olympic champion, and Eilish McColgan, who won gold in the 2022 Commonwealth Games 10,000 meters. Results-driven success
Since the start of the 2023 season, SiS has provided the Saracens’ Rugby Club team with extensive nutritional support for their training and competition, as well as access to bespoke product provision, which has helped to fuel the successes of the men’ s team. Similarly, the SiS and Loughborough University partnership started in 2024, with SiS embedded across Loughborough’ s sporting ecosystem, helping to fuel the university’ s athletes to peak performance across a variety of disciplines. Demonstrating the brand obsession with quality, innovation and performance, the SiS GO Isotonic energy gel is the world’ s first isotonic energy gel, delivering energy fast, clinically proven to be absorbed more quickly in the gut, and with no need for added water. Using fully patented technology and manufactured in-house, the gels are Science in Sport’ s most profitable product.
